Golfing
Dale Hollow State Park Golf Course consistently ranks in the top 10 courses in Kentucky. With 18 holes and 61 bunkers through undulating hillsides, gorges, small caves, and two ponds. This course will not disappoint.
Boating
With 620 miles of shoreline, Dale Hollow is recognized as one of the cleanest lakes in the region. Site visibility is regularly 15’ below the surface, drawing 3 million people annually.
Fishing
The fishing season’s on all year long, and they’re biting every day! Crappie, bream, muskie, walleye, trout, catfish, and five species of bass--largemouth, smallmouth, white, Kentucky, and rock--have given Dale Hollow Lake undisputed honor as a top fishing spot in the country. This lake held the world record for smallmouth bass and the state record for muskie. Dale Hollow Lake, formed by backing up Tennessee’s Obey River in 1943, has 620 miles of shoreline. There are plenty of shoals, small tributaries, and clean, clear water to encourage healthy fish growth.
Hiking
Over 15 miles of trails are designated as multi-purpose trails, open for hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking unless otherwise posted. No motorized uses are allowed. The trails generally follow old logging roads along narrow ridge tops through the park. Most of the trails end at the tips of these ridges, which form peninsulas into Dale Hollow Lake.
